Three final year students of the Adventist Senior High School (SHS), Kumasi in the Ashanti Region have been withdrawn from the boarding house for allegedly stealing their headmaster’s goat.
The students, Kwarteng Edward, Osei Kwabena Afriyie and Oppong Davis Owusu of the Paul Nsiah House, according to a statement by the school, stole the goat the very day it was brought to the housemaster’s compound.“The above named students had the impudence and stole the goat of a housemaster. The goat, on the day it was brought and tired up, the students remarked that the goat would not see the next day. True to their words, the goat did not see the following day” a statement signed by the headmaster of the school, Ernest Kofi Gyimah said.
The three boys, according to the Headmaster, are also to pay for the goat before they would be allowed into the classroom.
“When the students were confronted, they admitted having stolen the goat which was to be used by the Housemaster for the Christmas festivities. They brought in a skinny goat to replace the stolen one”.
“For their punishment, Kwarteng Edward, Osei Kwabena Afriyie and Oppong Davis Owusu have been withdrawn from the boarding house. If they are seen anywhere near the boarding house without permission, they would be given indefinite suspension. They are to pay for the goat before they would be allowed in the classroom” the statement said.
