INTER-CO update- Amass phobia dominates Day-1 as O.T., Islamic, Ghanamy, Afia Kobi competes strongly in Day one of zone four
Amass phooooooooooobia was the deafening sound resonating at all the corners of the stadium from fanatical and neutral observers as the zone four schools took their turn at the Baba Yara Stadium on day one of the two day athletic meet of the Ashanti school sports federation.
It was a dominant performance from Amass in both the boys and girls divisions as both track and field events with occasional threats from some of the competing schools.
At the end of day one in the zone three meet, Amass stayed ahead in both divisions but the Abrempong from Osei Tutu did not embarrass themselves as they gave Amass a good competition. O. T. managed to win some of the events to the acknowledgement of many supporters at the stadium who were wishing they could do enough to surpass Amass but that would not materialize.
In the boys division, Mampong based Amaniampong SHS were also competitive with occasional victories in some of the events.
Afia Kobi Girls also provided some level of competition for Amass in the girls division. Abrepo based Islamic SHS also added to the excitement with their competitive spirit whilst Ghana National Academy though competitive did not live up to the hype per their lofty standards.
The likes of Agogo State, New Edubiase, Manso Adubia are all strongly competing for one of the six slots in available for each zone in each category for the SUPER ZONALS.
