Abigail Asare Pinsan was over the weekend crowned as FACE of ADGASS 2016 at a colourful programme at the school's assembly hall. Adu Gyamfi SHS held its beauty contest dubbed "FACE of ADGASS 2016" which saw huge patronage from the students in an exciting atmosphere.
The competition was the first in the school and saw 3 finalist compete for the crown after an initial screening exercise was conducted. The finalists Abigail Asare Pinsan, Paulina Ababio and Priscilla Duah competed in three rounds of activities which included talent exhibition, beauty with a purpose and the Africa wear exhibition.
In a packed assembly hall with 50% vote from students and 50% from masters present, the panel settled on Abigail Asare Pinsan, a 17 year old General Arts student of the school as the Face of Adu Gyamfi 2016. Abigail polled 174 points to beat her closest rival Priscilla who received 79 points with Paulina placing third.
She promised to use her crown to promote sanitation in the school as her project.
The Entertainment Department expressed satisfaction with the organization of the programme and promised to make it an annual affair.
