2016 ARSRC LG Competition-Schools set to battle each other in Drama, Choreography, Poetry, Music Comedy on Sat.




Over one hundred Literary Groups in various Senior High Schools will seek to establish supremacy over each other come Saturday the 6th of February 2016 in Drama, Choreography, Poetry, Comedy and Music categories as the Ashanti Regional Stuents Representative Council organizes its Anual Students Week Celebrations.
The elimination competition dubbed "PRELIMS" organised by the ARSRC will take place at three different centres namely Osei Tutu Senior High, Nsutaman SHS and KTI on Saturday 6th February with over 30 schools set to compete in each venue for a place in the Grand Finale at the Cultural Centre.

The top three in each category will qualify to compete in the grand finale with notable performers like O.T., Barekese, Juaben, Adu Gyuafi SHS, Armed Forces, Agogo State, T.I. Amass, K-Wey Gey Hey among others set to face stiff competition from other schools.

At the Nsutaman venue the competition for the qualification slot will be among schools such as Adu Gyamfi SHS, Juaben SHS, Agogo State, St. Monicas, Collins SHS, Dadease SHS, Simms Comercial, Tweneboa Koduah, Konadu Yiadom, Konongo Odumasi, Kofi Agyei SHTS, EFFISCO, Akomfo Anokye SHS etc.

Adu Gyamfi, Agogo State, Juaben were dominant in last year's prelims hosted by Adu Gyamfi SHS.

The Osei Tutu Centre will host schools like Prempeh College, Tepa SHS, Barekese, DASS, Opoku Ware,  Adventist, TOSS, Afua Kobi, Aduman, Kumasi Girls and a host of schools.

The KTI centre will obviously be bopiling with the presence of  Amass Phobia, Armed Force, Asanteman, JAPASS, KNUST SHS, KUMACA, KASS, KSTS, KUHIS, K-WEY GEY HEY, SDASS, St. Louis, Serwaa Nyarko etc.

The Schools are testing their strenth and talents in the five diffent areas choreography, Poetry, Music and Comedy under the topics
1. Elections and its related violence
2. Student-Teacher amorous relationship and its consequencies
3. The youth involvment in cyber fraud, sakawa, tattoosm
4. Current Trends in Examination malpractice

The Prelims is scheduled for Saturday the 6th of February withe the top three in each category qualifying for the Grand Finale later on in the month.
