Inter-Co Zone-5 Results- KASS, Prempeh in a photo-finish as KUHIS,KUGISS, Armed Forces, ASASS, T.K. qualify for SUZO




Prempeh College and Kumasi Anglican were both adjudged winners in the boys category of Zone five after finishing with 144.5 points appease in a spectacular and unbelievable fashion at the close of the two-day competition of the ongoing inter-schools and colleges athletics competition for the Ashanti Region.

It was a photo finish and the most competitive of all the zones so far with KASS and Prempeh unable to surpass each other after finishing on the same points.

Prempeh College were earlier tipped to top the zone but KASS produced an incredible run of form to tie with Prempeh at the top-spot with 144.5 points to set up a much anticipated Super-Zonals.

Armed Forces took the third spot with 84 points with Kumasi High School finishing in a disappointing 4th position with 69.5 points. Juaben managed to pick the 5th spot with 50 points whilst Nkawie Sectec picked the 6th spot whilst Asanteman managed to qualify after placing 7th due to the tie at the first position.

In the Girls Division however, competition was not as keen as the boys category with Kumasi Girls winning with quite a descent gap with 228 points leaving KASS at the 2nd spot with 140 points. Kumasi Girls per their performance are tipped to be in contention for the Super-Zonals after showcasing an incredible form in the zone five competition. Juaben placed third with 57 points whilst Owerriman took the 4th slot with 55.5 points. Yaa Asantewaa qualified for the Super-Zonals after placing5th with 41 points whilst Tweneboa Koduah picked the last slot with 32 points.

Ejisuman SHS placed third as the best behaved school with KUGISS placing 2nd whilst YAGSS won the honour of being adjudged as the best behaved school after close of competition.
