Oseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee JAPASS!!!!!!!!! was the resounding echo at the end of competition for Zone 1 schools in the ongoing Ashanti Regional Inter-Schools and Colleges Festival at the Baba Yara Stadium. Jachie Pramso overcame competition from Opoku Ware and Konongo Odumasi to claim the title in both the boys and girls category in an amazing style to the admiration of all at the Baba Yara Stadium. Prior to the competition many tipped Opoku Ware and KOSS as favourites but the Jachie based school had other ideas as they produced some scintillating and eye-pleasing performances to write their name in gold in the history books of the competition as one of the few mixed schools to win a Zone in both categories.
Opoku Ware proved to be disappointing as many were counting on them to provide a stiff challenge to Amass Phobia in the Super-Zonals but with this performance OWASS left many doubting their capacity to challenge Amass in the Boys Category.
Konongo Odumasi picked the third spot in the boys category whilst Kumasi Senior High Technical (KSTS) managed to pick the 4th slot. Barekese qualified in the 5th position whilst Bonwire picked the last spot in the boys category.
JAPASS again overcame the threat of KOSS and St. Louis in the girls division as they dominated in track and field events to claim the top spot with KOSS settling for the 2nd position. Former giants St. Louis managed the 3rd spot. JAPASS won with 163 points just to points ahead of KOSS who notched 161 points in the girls division.
Bonwire were good enough for the 5th spot with surprise package Akrofuom SHS picking the last spot in the girls division.
In all the day belong to JAPASS as they sang and danced into history with their amazing feat.
